We were commissioned by Glen Eira City Council to prepare an accommodation standards document for their town hall offices. The document included design principles, spatial standards and benchmarking, schematic revitalisation proposals, suggested project process, and references for similar work we had completed previously.

We were then commissioned to prepare a masterplan. Following Council’s approval of it, we detail-designed, documented and assisted with the construction of Levels 0, 1, 2 and 3.

Existing conditions on Level 2 comprised circuitous circulation paths, separate offices for individuals and small teams, non-compliant air conditioning and poor light levels. We supervised removal of the tenancy, as well as the air conditioning and lighting systems.

As documented in these photos, the new Level 2 tenancy included a foyer, generous open-plan workspaces, flexible workstations and filing systems, central storage areas, managers’ offices, meeting rooms of various scales, and a kitchen. Levels 0, 1 and 3 received similar refurbishment.
